Classical Concerts In And Around The UK
There's a saying that nothing beats the experience of catching a concert live. If you get the chance to, never let it go. So, today I’m going to blog about catching some of the best live Classical Music in and around the UK. Welcome to the experience!
First of all, October is a month simply filled with outstanding live acts. You should savour the chance to catch at least one of these. You can go to the' Tchaikovsky Gala ' at the Bridgewater Hall in Manchester on Oct 3, 7 p.m. Or you can choose to go to 'The Four Seasons by Candlelight' at the Royal Albert Hall of London on Oct 12 at 7.30 p.m. Another choice pick of mine would be the 'Mozart by Candlelight' concert at The Bridgewater Hall, Manchester on 25 October, 2008. A perfect chance for a couple to spend time together while enjoying the very best in music (and dare I say, life as well!). Having the right company is very important in getting the best enjoyment out of an evening of Live Classical Music
Talking about that reminded me of a tale related to me by a fellow friend and fan of Classical Music. He had tickets to a Beethoven recital at the Royal Albert Hall of London. He had planned a quiet and elaborate evening with a friend. But as fate would have it, the lady friend ended up having to babysit her 8-year-old niece who ended up sitting in between them at the recital. Unfortunately, being an 8-year-old she made heads turn with all her bickering and her demanding to leave. I'm not saying all children are like that. Some are well mannered and could be brought along to recitals and concerts like these.
So, what are the tickets prices for one of these concerts/recitals? For the uninitiated, we will take one example. It is for the Mozart by Candlelight at The Bridgewater Hall, Manchester on 25 Oct, 2008. Here is an example of the ticket prices, based on the seating of course.
Circle A price £31.00, Choir Circle A price £31.00, Stalls B price £27.50, Choir Circle B price £27.50, Side Circle B price £27.50, Gallery B price £27.50, Stalls C price £22.50, Gallery C price £22.50, Side Circle D price £17.50, Circle Alcove D price £17.50 and Side Gallery D price £17.50 .
Be sure to plan well in advance. Select your company (as mentioned above), look at the site map for your best choice of seats and make your booking for the event. Some of these tickets are sold off even before they are put on the website. Yes, nowadays, pre-season booking is quite common. So, to avoid disappointment always check out the latest postings about these tickets. Here are a few sites where you can get your tickets online or/and obtain listings:
